to Tom Paris FC and Ruth Aurigemma VFC on their re-election to office for
2012
Flotilla 35-7 operates on the South Western portion of Lake Michigan from
the City of Chicago South and East into the waters of Indiana, along with
the Lake Michigan operations we also patrol on the Chicago and Calumet
Rivers.
Our Flotilla is devoted to assisting the U.S. Coast Guard. We strive to
maintain highly trained personnel to assist the Coast Guard at a moments
notice with Search and Rescues, Safety Patrols and Radio Watches.
We also teach numerous public boating safety courses, do many Vessel Safety
checks and participate at numerous boating and sporting shows in and around
the Chicagoland area.
During 2010 our Flotilla
logged 9,554 total hours of service. Some of the areas include 1,521 hours
on Missions, 963 in Coast Guard Support, 6,130 Recreation Boating Safety 323
in Public Affairs, 112 hours on Vessel Exams and 76 hours in Public
Education.
